Still Stuck In The Days Of Modern War
So while everyone else is swanning off to their other, more recent games such as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, I'm still stuck on Call of Duty 4. Yeah, I'm a year behind people!
What with my poor pitying lack of money due to my attempt to save up for the bigger releases like Fable II and Gears of War 2, I've been unable to get many new games. In fact, my only recent purchases were around two months ago - Gears of War and Mass Effect. Obviously great games, yet I still feel stuck behind the crowd and of course, my friends list.
Basically I'm living and breathing CoD4 whenever I game right now, apart from the odd GoW clan session. I guess I have a form of excuse, sort of.. I mean I did get the game a few months after everyone else? Ok, bad excuse then.

So why am I still playing the Modern Warfare FPS?
1) It's my current favourite FPS across all my consoles.
2) My clan's main game is CoD4 so therefore a lot of my friends list are playing it.
3) I have no spare cash... (surprise, surprise..)
4) I've ran out of my increasingly bad excuses....

Tom Clancy VIP Multiplayer Keys
Here's your chance to get your hands on the Tom Clancy's Endwar Xbox 360 multiplayer demo:Eurogamer is giving away special keys that will enable its members - so that means you have to sign up - to partake in a VIP multiplayer demo of Tom Clancy’s EndWar on Xbox 360.
All you have to do it sign up and you’ll be given a key. You then take that key and register it a Ubisoft.com. Ubisoft will then inform you of what you have to do and how nearer to the time the demo will go live.
Seems every game is going for the early demo/beta approach nowadays, following the successes of Halo 3 and CoD4, Call of Duty: World of War included.

Wii Like The Wii
Nintendo recently released statistics showing that around 12 million Wii units have been sold in America alone. This figure has been greatly helped along by the 448, 000 US sales in the past month alone. The Wii is still leading the crowd of next-gen consoles, with the PS3 and Xbox 360 seemingly falling even further behind. So what exactly is the general appeal of the Wii, obvious isn't it? The word 'casual' springs to mind every time I think of the tiny sleek console. Showcasing exclusive games that invite both physical and mental activity from the player, has rubbed off on the world's population. Titles such as Wii Fit and Wii Sports are probably the most popular of all, taking full advantage of the motion-sensing control interface, also exclusive to the Wii.

Latest Saints Row Trailer
THQ have released another interesting trailer for Saints Row 2, due to release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The trailer's definitely worth taking the time to watch and features co-op play and oh, so obviously... pirates and ninjas?
The game's due out on the 14th October and seems to be heating up. Well, if it's anything like the original, it's bound to sell!

Your Chance To Play LBP!
I highly recommend taking up any opportunity you can to get that sneak peak or preview into the most hyped game coming to the PS3 right now. On the 4th October in Manchester, that's exactly what you'll be able to do.''The fine folks over at Don’t Panic have sent word that public advance previews of Media Molecule’s ambitious world-creation title LittleBigPlanet will kick off later this week on September 12 as part of a PlayStation-sponsored event hosted at Piccadilly Plaza in Manchester, England. Through October 4, gamers can drop by and express their creativity in LBP before the game’s retail release. Top Mancunian artists Luke Drodz, Sketch City and Chris Drury will be in attendance during the coming weeks, explaining the design ideas behind LBP. Entrance is completely free - but of course, space is limited, so be sure to head out early.''

This Week's Most Played Live Games

Call of Duty 4 has yet again outrun Halo 3 in the race to No.1 in the chart this week. It's all came down to a battle of the two the last few months, one week it's CoD4 and the next it's Halo. You'll notice Gears of War is continuing to sneak up despite being one of the Xbox 360 launch titles. Goes to show how popular the game really is.
- Call of Duty 4
- Halo 3
- GTA IV
- Gears of War
- Madden NFL 09
- Castle Crashers
- Star Wars: TFU Demo
- Guitar Hero III
- Rock Band
- Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
